John Register (BA ’88)

After a crippling injury resulted in the amputation of his left leg, he became a long jump silver medalist in the Paralympic Games. He was appointed by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as one of an eight-member council to advise the secretary on foreign policy issues regarding disability. He founded Inspired Communications and travels the country as a speaker and motivator.
